Plenty of reports, but little progress

Reports, photographs and emails were scattered, and professionals had different views of the damage. It was difficult to see what had been investigated and which questions still needed answers.

What happened

The case had grown over time. Technical reports, estimates, photographs and invoices were kept in different folders and emails. Several people were working on separate parts, without a shared overview of the case.

The same problems were described in different ways. Views on the cause, repairs and costs differed, and it was difficult to tell which investigations each answer relied on.

How the work moved forward

Documents were grouped by problem so that reports, photographs and estimates about the same damage could be read together. A short account set out what had happened and in what order.

Unanswered questions were linked to the documents that could help explain them. The people following up received the material relevant to their part of the work.

It became easier to find the information and see which questions still needed answers. There was now a shared overview to use in following up the case.
